David Netherway
Position: Chairman

Mr. Netherway received a B.E. in Mining Engineering from the University of Melbourne in 1975 and a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants in the United Kingdom in 1985. Mr. Netherway is a mining engineer with over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. He was until the recent takeover by Gryphon Mineral Ltd (GRY-ASX), the CEO of Shield Mining Limited, an Australian listed company exploring for gold and base metals in Mauritania. Prior to this, Mr. Netherway served as the CEO of Toronto listed Afcan Mining Corporation, a China focussed gold mining company which was successfully taken over by Eldorado Gold. He is also a former director of Orezone Resources Inc. Kazakhgold Ltd and Equigold NL. Mr Netherway is a mine developer and operator who was involved in the construction and development of the Iduapriem, Siguiri and Kiniero gold mines in West Africa and has mining experience which includes Australia, India, Nepal, Oman and Malaysia. Mr. Netherway has also held senior management positions in a number of mining companies, including Golden Shamrock Mines, Ashanti Goldfields, GMA Resources plc (AIM: GMA), and Semafo Inc.

Mr Netherway is currently the Chairman of Afferro Mining Inc (TSX: AUR & AIM: AAAM), Altus Strategies Ltd and Asterion AV Ltd. He is also a non-executive director of Gryphon Minerals Ltd (GRY-ASX), Crusader Resources Limited (ASX:CAS) and Altus Resource Capital Ltd (LSE: ARCL) and Non-executive Chairman & Director of Aureus Mining Inc (AUM: AUE) and Kilo Goldmines Ltd (TSX: KGL).

 
Matthew Grainger
Position: Director

Matthew Grainger is a founder director of Altus Strategies and CEO of AsterionAV Ltd, a subsidiary company of Altus Strategies. Matthew is a UK based geologist with over 12 years experience in the junior resource sector. He graduated with Honours in Earth Science in 1997 and subsequently completed a Master's degree in Mining Geology at the Camborne School of Mines. In 2002, he co-founded AIM listed Ariana Resources [AIM: AAU] where he was Operations Director until 2006. Thereafter, he became the Chief Operating Officer and a director of TSX-V listed African Aura Resources prior to its merger with Mano River in 2009 to become African Aura Mining, which subsequently became Afferro Mining Inc [TSX-V: AFF, AIM: AFF] and Aureus Mining Inc [TSX & AIM: AUE]. Matthew is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London and a member of the Association of Mining Analysts.

 
Steven Poulton
Position: Director (Non-Executive)

Steven is the Chief Executive and co-founder of ALTUS Strategies and a director of Altus Capital Ltd, the investment manager of Altus Resource Capital Ltd [LSE:ARCL]. He holds an honours degree in geology from Southampton University and a master's degree in mining geology from the Camborne School of Mines. Steven worked for Mano River between 1998 and 2005. In 2002 he co-founded Ariana Resources which listed on AIM in 2005 [AIM:AAU], in 2004 he founded African Aura Resources which listed on the TSX-V in 2008 and, through its merger with Mano River in 2009, created African Aura Mining which subsequently split into Afferro Mining [TSX-V/AIM:AFF] and Aureus Mining [TSX-V/AIM:AUE]. He is a director of Stellar Diamonds [AIM:STEL]. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London, a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and a member of the Association of Mining Analysts.

 
Jonathan Hunt
Position: Vice President Exploration

Jonathan Hunt is an exploration geologist with over 19 years of experience across Africa and a range of commodities including gold, copper, uranium and rare earth metals with extensive experience in Proterozoic and Archaean gold deposits. His previous experience includes senior exploration roles with JCI in South Africa, Birim Goldfields in West Africa and more recently Coffey Mining in Zambia. Jonathan has managed multiple field teams which have been integral to a number of new discoveries and resource drillouts.

Jonathan was awarded an NHD in Economic Geology in 1996 from the University of Johannesburg. He is a member of the geological society of South Africa (GSSA), and is professionally registered with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP).

 
Richard Dallwig
Position: Senior Exploration Geologist

Richard Dallwig is an exploration geologist with over 25 years of experience and an M.Sc. from the University of Freiburg (1982). He has worked in numerous terrains including Mali, Niger, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Ecuador, Madagascar and Papua New Guinea. Richard has been a member of a number of successful exploration teams that have discovered significant gold deposits in Mali (Dag-Dag, Melgue, Sadiola, Yatela) and Niger (Libiri, Samira, Tialkam). He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London, the PDAC Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and the GDMB Society for Mining, Metallurgy, Resource and Environmental Technology.

 
Will Slater
Position: Project Geologist

Will Slater joined the Altus Group in June 2008 as a geologist. Since this time, his experience has included undertaking field programmes in Mauritania, Cameroon, Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia as well as attaining significant GIS and database management expertise.

Prior to joining the Altus, Will gained experience with an engineering consultancy practice working on major infrastructure projects in the UK. He holds a masters degree in Applied Geology from the University of Leicester and is a fellow of the Geological Society of London.

 
Huruy Teklemaryam
Position: Exploration Geologist

Huruy is a graduate of the University of Mekele (BSc Applied Geology) and is finalising an MSc Economic Geology thesis titled "Geological and Geochemical investigations for gold and base metal mineralisation in the Dembela area, Central Tigray, Ethiopia". Huruy has experience of mapping a variety of terrains in both the Nathreth and Tigray areas of Ethiopia, as well as substantial field experience.

 
Ashenafi Meresa Hindeya
Position: Exploration Geologist

Ashenafi is a graduate of Mekele University, and holds both a BSc. Degree in Applied geology and an MSc. Degree in Economic Geology. He has extensive field experience including mapping and hydro-geochemical surveying, and has worked as a researcher for Mekele University.
